VISITING OUR ADOPTION CENTER

Créme de la Créme Animal Foundation

We can’t wait for you to visit us at our Adoption Center!

All of our adoptable pets can be viewed on our website, through the Petfinder link , but there’s nothing like a face to face meeting to get the ball rolling.  Our animals are amazing and visiting with them in person will give you a true picture of their personality.  Our animals also tend to conduct their own interviews with you.   For most, they often work to tell certain visitors, "I pick YOU!"

About Your Visit

Our adoption process is specifically designed to help us find the best possible pet match for you and ensuring a lifelong bond between you and your new furry family member.

When you arrive, we’ll ask you to consent and electronically sign a Visitor Waiver for the protection of our animals and organization.  Each family member visiting must complete a Visitor Waiver (or have a parent/guardian sign if under 18).  If you would like to review the waiver, you can download it ahead of time (see Visitor Waiver under Visit Us tab).

About Our Environment

We have an open cattery environment, meaning our cats are not in cages (with a few exceptions).  This environment can be challenging if you have fears or feel uncertain about being around cats.  Even if you are extremely prone to loving cats, our Adoption Center can be overstimulating.  Please do not get us wrong, we LOVE our set-up, but it is a feline kingdom. Visitors (and volunteers, we cannot forget those amazing people) are “guests” in the cat’s home.  Our cat personalities are extremely diverse.  Some cats will vie for your attention, doing anything and everything to get you to engage with them, while others will stay far away.  Occasionally, the cats have scuffles amongst themselves.  We ask that visitors allow them to work things out amongst themselves and do not touch the cats during disputes.  Our volunteers will intervene if assistance is needed.  There is a feline hierarchy in our environment and the cats are continuously working through this dynamic.

We have chosen an open environment for our cats to free them from lives behind bars.  Freedom is awesome, stretching those toesies…and getting in a good body roll whenever they feel like it.  However, freedom often has a price. Downfalls of this environment are the constant striving for cohesiveness amongst the diverse feline personalities, stress related health issues, higher incidence of infection and parasite transmissions, and overall crowdedness. Because they’re all so different, our shyer and older kitties tend to have the hardest time adjusting to this environment.  Likewise, our declawed cats can also feel overwhelmed and unprotected.  When possible, we separate the more passive timid cats for extra socialization and a less stressful environment.

If you have cat allergies, for your safety, we ask that you do not visit our Adoption Center as this can be an unsafe environment.  Our cats are in every room of the Adoption Center so allergens are running high.  Our facility is not equipped with anaphylaxis medications.
