CDLC will remain open during these uncertain times with the best interest of our clients, volunteers and animals being our top priority. We have already taken and will continue to implement additional disinfecting and other safety measures at our shelter. HOW CAN YOU MAKE A DIFFERENCE TO OUR HOMELESS CATS AND DOGS?
Fewer pets are being adopted right now but they haven’t stopped coming in to our shelter. With many people currently staying at home, now is a perfect time to adopt. Click on the “Adopt” tab below to learn more about our adoption process and view some of our currently adoptable pets via PetFinder.
To visit our shelter an appointment is required and are available during the following hours:
Tuesday 4:30-6:30 pm
Wednesday 4:30-7:30 pm
Saturday 12:00-3:00 pm
To make an appointment, please submit an Adoption Application. We will then contact you to set up your appointment date and time.
Please note: we are limiting the number of people in our shelter at one time. Upon arrival, you may be asked to wait for a bit in your vehicle. We do ask that if possible, you limit the number of people coming with you.
Your financial donation is needed to keep our shelter open. Our day to day expenses including veterinary care, utilities, food and everyday supplies continue to mount. Please click on the “Click Here to Donate” button below or send your donation made out to CDLC Animal Foundation to: 1325 S. Main Street, Algonquin, IL 60102.

We are currently limiting volunteers to those who already work at our shelter. However, if you are interested in volunteering please feel free to submit an application with the understanding that it may take several weeks or more for a response as we focus on adoptions, fostering and other critical needs during this time.
We appreciate your support!
